I was reading on here about finds in the reject part of Coinstar machines. I checked one out today while on my route and it had 5 pennies in it. Nothing great but...what is the proper ettiquette when you find these leftover coins? Can you just take them (because someone else forgot to) or do you leave them?

I wouldn't have a problem taking them they are there for a reason because they are rejected and not wanted.

I consider these freebies. Like finding them on the ground or in it.

Funny you asked that question. I am an enforcement officer for the "Coinstar loss prevention" Agency. ALL of your Coinstar finds must be sent to me for verification and return to the people who lost their money. If I can't find the rightful owners then it's my duty to keep all the finds for preservation.
