An eyeballed find by a 1800 stone hearth, what is left of it. It's right by a busy
trail that everyone walks right by and never gets any notice. Likely has
seen many detectors over the years. I see some steep slopes that might have
been missed and will give it go once the ground is workable again. It
froze over this week due to a could snap we had up here in Ontario Canada.
What a shame these 1800 homesteads get bulldozed over, such great
history and such a major difference in the way they lived without any
modern conveniences like today. Looks like some nice gold gild on this piece
and has been sitting there for over a hundred years.
