Got out for a short hunt, 45 minutes before a sudden storm had me running for the truck.
Started searching a 60 acre parcel which the owner had told me had several foundations and had been farmed since the early 1700s.
He must be correct, my first target was the buckle, similar to #XIII in the link.
http://www.ukdfd.co.uk/ceejays_site/pages/bucklepage18.htm
Next was a large brass cowbell with iron clapper, love the folded and riveted design.
(I know it looks like iron in the photos)
Seeing ones like it listed at 1800-1900 (Date, not price ;D ) on auction sites.
Can't find much about cowbell history other than regarding music
other than that, just a harness ring and simple button.
it was great to start exploring this new site, looks promising
Also nice to not have duct tape holding my Etrac together.
The adjuster for shaft length was worn, and minelab told me to send it in for service ???
I gave Mike at www.woodlanddetectors.com a ring about the issue, a few days later I get a package from Minelab with 2 adjusters and some other free goodies ;D
Thinking of a new detector? he's the man to see :hello2:
Thanks for looking & HH to All

Thanks All ;D
That 1800-1900 in my OP was Dates of manufacture, not prices :tongue3:
Great vid BornFree, Will hammers that bell with a vengeance.
Nice to see old Mr Walken too. He has a great range of characters, from the Ultimate bad guy to a Harvey Milquetoast role in some film I can't recall.
For fans of 'Law and Order Criminal Intent' I'd like to remind you of Vincent D'Onofrios (Detective Goren) first movie role in the Kubrick classic 'Full Metal Jacket'
When the show aired I knew I remembered him from somewhere, took me about 2 minutes to grab the dvd off the shelf and watch it again, great stuff.
if you got 15 minutes to spare, watch these 2 clips. You may have to click em twice.

R Lee Ermey is another favorite, I'm also pleased to see William Shatner Raking some dollars these days.
Best hunts to everyone
