Got out yesterday with my brother who is brand new to detecting and he got his first silver, A merc and his first large cent!!!!!!!!! The first spot we hit I was told by the owner It had been hunted at least 12 different times in the 30 years he'd lived there so there was probably nothing left ;D My very first signal was a pocket spill of 5 Indian head penny's!!!!! I also got the colonial buckle and half cent there, Oh yeah and one of the large cents. I got the barber and the shot Lc at the other spot. The other copper is from the previous hunt. Thanks for looking HH

When you say shot you mean shot.
Your brother is going to think this is easy, with a great first hunt like that.

Awsome digs! And sunny and 70 degrees today so I'm sure you're out there again today
Nice vid too!

What kind of detector was your brother using? Thought I saw an Ace 250 in the video. Thats what I use. Cool finds!!!!

Congrats on the great hunt. :icon_thumright: Love the old building around 1:10.

Congrats to you and your brother on a terrific hunt! Its amazing that this site had been hunted out a dozen times and yet an indian head pocket spill was missed. How do you think this was possible? Was there a lot of trash that could have caused the other detectors to leave prematurely? Were the new finds exceptionally deep? In any event, it gives us all renewed confidence to keep hitting those sites that have been "searched out" in the past. Thanks for the post.

MAn you make it look way to easy, great finds!!

Now those are certainly some nice finds. There's something really awesome about pulling large cents from the ground!

Wow coop. I need a lesson or two . Man what a great day . Well you sure had some nice finds . I was wondering can you restore the old silver? If so must it be done profesionaly. I was out yesterday and well the only good thing is I got out. HH Rob :coffee2:
