Colonial cellar keeps giving.....

Stopped in a nearby colonial cellar that has been hammered pretty well :-\

Was moving trees and branches and was able to pull some good finds :icon_thumleft:


Probably abandoned around the Civil War era.

Grabbed some nice little Colonial buckles and a silver plated buckle ;D
Not sure if its a shoe or waist it does have a curve :dontknow:
The age is a mystery to me also :icon_scratch:

Got a thimble and some buttons :)

definitely all shoe buckles! :thumbsup: the large one isn't plated.its applied silver which was hammered on from what i was told.i kick branches and roll rotted trees too.it definitely pays off! nice job dude! :thumbsup:

Thats funny i was thinking today,did they plate things back then :icon_scratch:

Then i realized there is absolutely no trace of silver on the back :dontknow:

But what you said makes sense thay would only hammer what was seen :thumbsup:

Neat old buckles :headbang:....I can't find those kind down here. I find squashed thimbles though. ;D
