Colonial cellar keeps giving.....

Stopped in a nearby colonial cellar that has been hammered pretty well

Was moving trees and branches and was able to pull some good finds


Probably abandoned around the Civil War era.

Grabbed some nice little Colonial buckles and a silver plated buckle
Not sure if its a shoe or waist it does have a curve
The age is a mystery to me also

Got a thimble and some buttons

Keep the passion high

definitely all shoe buckles! the large one isn't plated.its applied silver which was hammered on from what i was told.i kick branches and roll rotted trees too.it definitely pays off! nice job dude!

Thats funny i was thinking today,did they plate things back then

Then i realized there is absolutely no trace of silver on the back

But what you said makes sense thay would only hammer what was seen

Neat old buckles ....I can't find those kind down here. I find squashed thimbles though.
