Had a sloppy colonial field hunt with George today. Had some nice finds all together, but my only score was a seated liberty dime. The dime was about 7" down and hit around 12-43/44 on my CTX. I saw it in the hole and knew it was something good. Overall it was a mess fest but George and I had a blast. Thanks Vino.

On the way home I saw a section of a park I hadn't had a chance to search due to permafrost had finally thawed. It was a 10x10 section but I pulled a '44 Merc from the chaotic iron-riddled ground. Then real quick I checked around where I found the SLQ yesterday and boom! A '12 barber dime.

My first trifecta!

Happy hunting

Thanks. A 1839-O seated doesn't happen to me every day so I'm a very happy hunter.

Congrats on the sweet trifecta! Gotta love those kind of days, they don't happen every day.

Thanks Beez. The barber dime came out with that patina. I wish they all came to the surface that way. Here's a "final" cleaned pic of the seated...

Nice early seated bud. You've certainly had a great start to the season. You keep this rate up you'll have about 400 silvers by the end of the season

Really nice trifecta. Congrats on the sweet seated! GL&HH.

Thanks Abe. Hey, I heard through the grapevine (George) you don't think that coin is old!? Lol.

Yeah, it was a great day

Sweet hunt!!

A trifecta with of all coins, the dime. Lol And throw in a SLQ for the icing on the cake, Awesome for sure!!

I haven't found my first seated anything yet....

Ok, just realized the SLQ was from an earlier hunt. Still Awesome hunt!!

The seated dime was the one that got me over the moon. I wouldn't tell George what it was, but he knew how excited I was by my jumping in a sloppy soybean field!

I think your new celebration should be to pick up George and slam him down into the muddy field. Ya know kinda like spiking a football. An old gray haired Italian football :laughing7:
