Me and my brother have recently gained permission for a new site that has provided us with relics and coins from anywhere from 1700's to 1800's. We are not positive whether it was a home site or church site and we figure it has been hunted several times over the years. Coins include a 1868 Shield Nickel, and a 1864 IHP. Also, wick raiser from oil lantern circa 1860's. Other relics and buttons are definitely 1700's.
The first mystery item I would like some help id'ing is what could be a Saddle Shield or Badge? Maybe a badge for the side of rear stock of an old muzzle loader of the era? This field has seen farm equipment over the years and I had to bend several finds back into place. Unfortunately this relic broke in several pieces due to this fact, but still looks interesting.


The 2nd item is made of brass and the dimensions are pictured below:
