COLONIAL HOME*SOME COOL BUTTONS & A IH

Got back up to a colonial home I had permission from in the past.the yard is pretty quiet so,I decided to wander into the woods next to home.a ton of junk as you can see from my sink picture but managed a few keepers.
2 colonial cloak or dandy buttons. a cool steel backed liberty head button,a conductor button with a horstman backmark,a connecticut banking button front only.& a early designed 2 piece button festus hayden, waterbury conn backmark. a few wheaties, one 1908 Indian head penny and this weird hat shaped brass item.looks like maybe a old horse jockeys hat that went on a figurine? some ornate round thing-a-ma-jiggy kinda looks like the front portion of a horse rosette but has 3 small holes around edge and a very cool lock plate

Some very sweet buttons HMN, I love that Coronet Head button that looks like a Gold Coin, wonderful piece that will make for the display :icon_thumleft:

Re: COLONIAL HOME*SOME COOL BUTTONS & A IH

nice finds! My wife would kill me if I put all that dirty junk in my sink. :whip2:

Re: COLONIAL HOME*SOME COOL BUTTONS & A IH

Great assortment of Finds on that hunt!
it's sensory overload just looking....
the large round ornate piece is very interesting,
center of back looks like a split open button shank :icon_scratch:
in addition to those three holes.
I have a couple similar round thin stamped pieces, none with holes & attachment point...
mine have wire strap attachments..
Ok got a whole paragraph just for one item :laughing9:
beautiful Liberty Head Button!
Before i go on any more I'll just say 'Great hunt and Recoveries' :headbang:
Like the sinkful of 'as dugs'
I stopped including my 'didn't make it in the house' stuff, should start again.
Those brass & copper bits add up fast and provide a nice bonus at the scrapyard.
You got a load of goodies! Big congrats!! Herbie
