Hey guys,

The spread here represents 2 separate coastal sites, an early colonial crossing and trash pit. The first site is Gheenoe78's and my go to Rev War site that seems to produces the occasional military pewter. Having hit the site dozens of times, the targets are few and far between however those that remain are the deep good stuff. Among the pewter partials was this pewter jewelled cufflink. It is the earliest type of linked button or cufflink, circa 1690-1750.

Back in October, the site produced a similar jeweled cuff-

Fresh out of electrolysis, I suspect this is a flint holder for a flintlock of some kind.

The site also produced a bunch of surface finds: 18th century tankard, stoneware, and 2 teeth...one Megaladon partial and the other a mystery.

The second site was a colonial trash pit, however was farmed up through the early 1900s. Among the early digs was a brass bell, round balls, 4 flat buttons, and a harmonica reed. Any ideas on the age of this bell?

A few coins popped out of the mud- 1906/1907 Barbers and a 1873 IHP

Very well done as usual! Barber coins and a vintage cufflink... now that's an assortment of finds!

Best of luck to you!

You always eek out something killer buddy. That cuff is awesome. Can you shine an led thru it and see more? I have a microscope with a lighted stand that would probably be great for something like that

Nice haul man - I do love those jeweled cufflinks. i've found a few of them over the years and besides displaying great, they truly are a work of art. I have a friend who found one on James Island that has a small gold nugget embedded within the glass stone.

Great Saves Jon. Love the Bell.

I have a coin microscope but the led reflects back off the beveled gem. Going to try and get better pictures in direct sunlight after work

Nice, the 3 that I've found each have a yellowed look to the glass making it difficult to see a clear image of the inside. Perhaps a result of sitting in the salt flat for 300 years.
