Colonial River Rocket!(+2)=(update)

Just wanted to share another great buy I just made! Just got this motor for a good deal in my opinion at $450.00 it's just like brand new.The guy I had brought it from had done some work for someone and they could not pay so they gave him this motor in stead.As you can see it's just like new and will become my new ride for finding colonial relics (she purrrssss like a kitten)! :wink:

It's a 8 hp yamaha 2 stroke and I've mounted it on a 9.4ft water tender that only weigh's it self 114lbs. So I'll be making good time that's for sure! :laughing7:

It ought to be the next thing from going air born!

Now I just need some time to use it! :thumbsup:

Yea I know some people like to see others spend money.

So here some more I spent. :wink:

Got these 2 just the other day.The 5hp force is a 1995 and has never been used been in a barn this whole time.Only had to take the carb. off and unstick the float in it and now runs great. :thumbsup:

The 2001 mercury 6hp 4 stroke was running already and purrs like a little kitten.(less than a 100hrs on it)Took it out the other day ran all over the place with it and don't think I burnt a 16oz drink bottle full of gas.Both for less than $1000.00 :thumbsup:

Yea I like this set up as I can be free with it as able to put in anywhere.Off the side the road,in ditches,or where ever I may need.It makes it easy for a one man opperation.I expect it to move purdy good also.Should make for a tense ride at full throttle! :laughing7:

I did the other day in fact! :thumbsup:

Went a gave it a test run and with me by myself she's a little on the dangerous side!

The wife watched me from the bank after I let her out and said there was nothing in the water but the propeller!

I could tell when I went to turn her she layed down and caught some water!

No sharp turns with it full trottle for sure be barrel rolled! :laughing7:

But in straight line look out! :laughing9:

What a deal on the boat motor...Motors for boats are not cheap! I would be carefull using that motor on such a small boat...ill bet you do willies with that motor lol

I have a 10 foot "Aquarius" brand aluminum jon boat, it weighs 130lbs. empty, it is rated for 10hp. I paid 50 dollars for the boat back in 1971 at Munky Wards (new) I run a 36lb. thrust Minkota 'lectric on it. The lake I fish does not allow gas. Which is just fine with me, I like quiet fishing..........NGE
