Colonial? Shoe Buckle - Eyland & Sons - Walsall (England)

As I visit NJ for work, I’m on the hunt to find anything relating to the revolutionary war. So far no luck, but I did come across this nice buckle among the multitude of shot gun shells...it’s complete and in perfect working condition.

Need a little help dating this one...

Normally I would say mid 1700. Eyland & Sons was established in 1760 in Walsall, England but looks like their 1916 brochures had similar buckle designs printed on them, so I don’t know...
