Just a heads up. The law now is it shall be unlawful to leave unattended or fail to extinguish a campfire on any property belonging to the Division of Parks and Wildlife, or any forested or grassland area. Violation of this used to be a $50 fine, but now it's $50 up to $750 and 6 months in jail. Being asleep beside a live campfire will be considered unattended. Fire season will be bad this year and restrictions will start earlier, and hopefully we will see some stepped up enforcement on this. Campfire safety is a no brainer for most of the folks on here, and a lot of our fires start up from campfires made by the homeless but not jobless crowd that live in the woods. Nice folks usually, but not much outdoor skills.
