Colored SEALS

Can anyone tell me in a nutshell the differences & meanings of the different COLORED SEALS that are used on our various bills, $1,2,5,10. What's the best seal color to watch for? Sorry, but I'm only into coins.

different notes have a different issue authorization and backing...

red seals are US notes

blues seals are silver certificates

brown seals are national currency notes

gold seals are gold certificates

green seals are federal reserve notes

mixed blue and gold are WW2 north Africa notes

some brown notes are WW2 Hawaii notes

as for best seal color...no way to answer that...bills are graded on condition and rarity, like coins are. Gold certificates are pretty pricey in even lower grades. The fun thing is to collect them all in the small size bills...they essentially all look the same with relatively minor differences. Pretty easy to find too.
