This is my first post to the forum. Only been searching for about 2 years now, but I've had a bit of luck this year. These points were all found in Southwest Georgia and were located within about 30 yards of each other. All were surface finds along a road bed. Found in the span of about 2 weeks in the same location. Any thoughts as to type? They seem to all be quite a bit different from each other.

Nice finds Hokie! The Florida guys should be here soon to help you out with the types...

Welcome to T-NET!

Thanks antmike915. I see that you are in Columbus GA as well. Glad to see someone else from the same area.

...this is your lucky day Hookie, just a few short weeks ago Mikes shout out to anyone in the whole state was 2 years, with no takers. He knows how to find them and he makes the best pics.

don't fret about types, over 14,000 years plus you should expect to find a myriad of stuff!

After some rain, repeat.

For awhile I thought I was the only one in my particular area that still looks (the few times I'm able to now). Pretty cool.

Nice 1st post. Welcome to the Forum.
Good size on those points. I really like the material you?re picking up, especially that brick red point. Very cool.
Reminds me of the physical characteristics of argillite points we sometimes find in the northeast.
Flint, coral and quartz on the others?

I'm pretty new to it, but definitely already addicted. It's been difficult to find places to hunt around here, but seems like the points can be quite abundant if you find the right place.

8,9 the red one I would type as a Duval in Florida.

I found 1 complete, 1 almost complete, a scraper and 2 broke points in a creek in Columbus when I was a kid, never really knew any areas to look around here.

Does it seem strange to find that many different types and materials in one location? Or is that pretty common?
