I did not enjoy this book, printed in 1915.
I was hoping for an old first hand account from the old mining days, but the title is misleading.
The author was a poet,(barely), and a politician, and the book is nothing more than "fables" as he calls them, I would call it something much less flattering.
No mining or treasure stories, mostly uninteresting political stories, with the last fourth of the book poetry, that cheesey, Victorian-era poetry.
Save your money.
