Columbia, CA Mountain Lions!

I found this online. This was taken last week near Parrot's Ferry with a trail and game camera. I would have to assume with the monstrous fire last year it has altered the lions feeding habits.

4 I think- I thought they were solitary too- except on National Geographic. This isn't far from downtown Sonora, CA. (5-7 miles?)

upon closer examination, I see some spots on two. must be cubs ready to leave the nest ( where is kuger when you need him?)

It looks like mom and three cubs as the one closest to her also has spots.

I sure wouldn't want to get between mom and the little ones.

I could be wrong in what I see to the right of mom's shoulder and above the head of the closest cub but it sure looks like another young one! Although it appears to be smaller and could be the runt of the litter, I don't think it is just another inanimate object in the background.
