Hello Everyone,

I picked this up this evening at an auction for $6.00. I'm pretty sure that's a killer deal for this. It was listed on the auction sheet as "First Commem Coin & Stamp 1892 & 1893". I knew it had to be a Columbus Expo, so I bid, and won.

I had a couple questions about this set. What would you grade this coin? It seems to be in pretty nice shape, but I'm no expert. What would the stamp be worth? I can't seem to find much info on the items as a set.

I collect coins through coin roll hunting and have never bought a coin for more than face value until now. This seemed way too good of deal to pass up. And it's my first silver commemorative!

Thanks for looking,

Vdubguy

Definitely a great buy!

for 6 dollars thats a good buy

That is a good buy. I like it

Being from Chicago I started collecting these coins and bought quite a few from ebay paying between $10-$16 per coin. The condition looks really good. No idea about the stamp, but as a set I'd pay $20 so you made a good buy!

Yeah I think I paid $13 over 2 years ago for mine in ebay.
