compadre coil

why don't they put the 7" coil on the compadre anymore. i would think it would give it more depth

Actually the 5.75 coil is a new technology and is a just as deep if not a lil deeper. This coil makes the compadre very good in trashy areas! If you really want the 7 incher....im sure there is plenty of used ones around!

F75 is correct. Then too the Compadre is more of an entry level detector and the use of the smaller coil won't discourage new users as much cause they can "cherry pick" from between the trash. This in no way means the Compadre is less of a detector than the higher priced ones, it just has less features to get in the way of having fun.
