Went over to my coworker's house today after work and detected his back yard. The home was built in 1903, and it looked promising at first. My first two holes were wheat cents, so that was encouraging, but I soon realized the yard is nail city! I could hardly find a place to ground balance.
I'm using the 6x10 on my White's, (it's my smallest coil) and although it's not bad for trash separation, there is WAY too much iron in that yard to really feel confident that I'm not missing stuff.
Looking forward to testing out the 5.75" Compadre and the legendary Tesoro discrimination. The soil is very rocky and all the coins I found with the M6 were less than 4 inches, so I'm not concerned with any loss of depth. Should have a chance to hit it again sometime this weekend. Wish me luck!
