Why did tesoro go from the 7inch to the 5 3/4 in coil on the compadre?

Hay Merd,

I love tha Compadre with tha 7" coil. I have one.
I call him MrSpeedy.

But tha 5.75" coil is better. It came out later. I have one of those.
