Admittedly I haven't been getting out because of the heat. This is what I've been up to lately in an area that saw a lot of activity in the late 18th century- 19th century.

Two unmarked dandies and a marked brass flat button.

Round ball and rifle bullets, and a 30-06 clip

Compact lid and a complete late 19th century watch

Victorian era buckles and such.

Two complete and one 1/2 lead seal

Indians, wheat, and silver

Keys, and the double is a type I haven't seen before. Any ideas on the age? My guess is 20th Century

And two complete bells. The brass one is cracked, but the tombac one is beautiful.

The sunburst bottom half, material, and the hand etched size "2" has me tending toward 18th Century.

Well that's what I've got for now.

Nice variety Scrappy. That split key is new to me, very cool.

Best of luck in the field sir.

Seriously, Steve? You rocked this hunt! We love everything! Haven't seen a double key like that either. The bells are divine. Really like the pattern on that large buckle. Congrats on all accounts. -Lisa & John

Now here I would of bet that you would have had a display case full of these bells by now. Strange how the finds are pretty common in some areas and not in others that's what makes this hobby so great.

Right! Crazy how it works. Technically I did dig a complete bell, but the property owner loved it, so I gave it to her. Still don't have one for myself though! I've dug 3 FE cents and only one Fatty IHP.... never dug seated anything, but have Spanish, capped silver and everything after seated. Somehow certain things elude us. I even watched Scrappy dig a NICE bell last year... if only I was 20 feet to my left. :laughing7:

Awesome bells man. I dunno why I can't find one of those damn things. Not too shabby for a few quick hunts. :occasion14:

That was a nice bell. And we were camping so I rang it that night, and the next morning. Abe and Brad loved that!!! Hahahahahah

Hello scrappy what a good variety of old items I do love the crotal bells
Looks like your getting closer to your site
See you soon hh gl.

Thanks C-Dawg. I doubt there's a site back there anywhere. The only home was in the front of that area where I took you and Bart last summer.

Sweet bunch of good finds!! I really like those bells, been awhile since I've found one.
I've been finding a lot of those ole rifle clips and I'll take silver in any form.

Great finds! Congratulations!

You and me both Outdoor! I've dug 2 spanish silvers (and Scrappy's seen one of them) and a Flying Eagle but never a fatty and never a seated. As a matter of fact seated is the "S" word for me. Been lucky enough to hit a couple of crotal bells. Scrappy's here are beautiful, especially the tombac one, and that little pile of silver isn't too bad either! Congrats on a very nice series of hunts Scrappy!

Those bells show up when you least expect them! As for rifle bullets, clips, and shotgun shells - they're always around! Lol

Hey Scrap missed this thread...

Super cool finds... well done.

I remember that reale you found. Great find. Those seated can be elusive but you'll get yours soon enough. You dig plenty of silver coins. After that it's just a numbers game. As for me, I've never dug a FE. Lol
