and led me to some silver & gold
went out about 1 1/2 hrs before AM low - water was choppy - wind started to blow in - bottom was stirred and
viz was awful. After first half hour I had nothing - then I started to hit some deep wheats - then I got a deep silver ID bracelet
then nothing for awhile again - then hit a few more deep faint wheats - then few pieces of lead bar stock (have found a lot of this here - think they used it to melt and make sinkers - cant think of what else it would've been used for) - got another faint hit right near the lead and thought I had another ...was surprised to see white/yellow band in the scoop instead. Hit another short drought then got a few more deep wheats and then out popped the silver half...a few more wheats then a few silver dimes a buffalo and an indian head penny (looks like 186?)
conditions I had to deal with - I was happy

heck of a haul!, love the 14k!!!

Very nice finds. Good score on the gold.

Sweet finds! I LOVE it when gold pops out. I'm always looking for it, and I'm always surprised when it shows up. Best hobby ever. :)

large black lump is coal - think it may have been from a small steam boat since this spot hada large pier for boats in the 1800s
have seen smaller pieces but kept this one - kind of a relic I guess

Nice finds Casper! You always get to older, deeper loot!

Very Nice handful!!

Good amount of tgts there Casper! Congrats on all the keepers!

Besides the finds, one of the things I enjoy about your posts is the narrative you give about the conditions, recovery, etc. Thanks for posting.

With all those targets one was bound to be gold - WTG!!

I always try and give a little info - it may help a fellow TH'er down the road - whether its something I did different or something I don't do . I have people PM'ing me just about everyday asking for hints or tips - If I can help - I will
been in the hobby since 1975 at age 12 - done all kinds of detecting and met all kinds of people and hunters - so if I cant pass on my knowledge - I sometimes can pass on theirs
- thanks for the kind words

HEY GHOST WHATS IT SAY ON THAT THING . AND ALSO NICE RING YOU GOT THERE.
