MICHELLE, Confederate Soldiers Used What Ever They Could Get There Hands On, Especially In The Later Years Of The War. Your Button Is U.S., But Could Have Been Pressed Into Service By A Confederate. As For For Spurs On Drummer Boys, Cavalry Movements Were Announced With Bugle Calls. Drums & Bugles Were Used In The Infantry. Did You Happen To Find A Small Spur? trk5capt...

Thank You...and We found a spur but a guy we know mentioned that it might be a drummer boy spur....DING....I thought about it and wondered Why would a drummer boy wear a spur...that's why I asked....the spur we found looks like a mississippi spur....not real sure though....this eagle button looks different from many we have found.
