Too bad you put your recovery tool through the block I. Just kidding (bad joke), great buttons! Still looking for my first CS button so I'm just jealous. Are you taming the beast (noise) or experimenting with ground notch at all?

experimenting with ground notch it works .I had it on when I found the silver half yesterday. seems like everyones opinions are divided on ground notch but it works for me will experiment some more.

If something "works for you" that is the key phrase that means to stick with what you are doing. If it ain't broke... as the say. If something is working, be open to suggestions and experimentation but don't be swayed by those who say you got it wrong. The debate on the utility of ground notch is a prime example of my observstion that there are very few absolutes in this hobby because there are so many variables that can affect detectability of any target. The only absolute I subscribe to is that you definitely won't find the target if you don't turn on the machine and pass the coil over it regardless of how proficient the operator and how capable the detector. Keep finding those keepers!
