Confederate Block I?

I have been working a vacant lot in my hometown for the last few days. Not a whole lot to show for my effort until today. I found a ladies gold wedding band and was very excited. That lasted only a couple of minutes until I dug this one piece Block I button. It has no back marks and was only washed with soap and water. Any Id help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Charlie.
