Confederate Button?

Dug this button yesterday. Warmans Civil War field guide shows it as being confederate-used floral or pattern button. Its the same size as a quarter.
Just thought i would bring it to T-net and let the experts decide!!!!

The "best" you can say is it is a period button and some Confederates did use what ever buttons they could find.. if you dug it in th emiddle of a know camp.. you still would have a hard time proving it was Confederate.. from the stand point of increasing the value... if you know you dug it from a Confederate site.. then add it to the Confederate collection... I've dug all kinds of civ buttons from know Confederate locations.. but at the end of the day.. they are still civ buttons...


Still.. good button... lots of gilt.. nice shape... so.. good digging!!!

Very nice any button found in a Confed. camp is a plus for any collection.But like MB said alot of people would have a hard time accepting that.But as long as you know where you dug it,that is all that should matter to you.Congrats on the button and it will display very well in your collection.
