Found this in Michigan and wanted to see if I could get a few opinions. WMU has a piece of it and they're a little confused but have somewhat of a clue but don't want to say without showing to a few of their colleagues. Thanks for looking.

We found in South West Michigan metal detecting and it rang up in the iron nickel pull tab range.

Is it strongly magnetic? Looks odd, perhaps metamorphic in origin.
