As we age the ability to see in the dark is reduced.
Driving is a problem in the rain.
The glare of the oncoming traffics headlights.

Simple solution is to wear yellow shooting glasses. No magnification. They eliminate the headlight glare.

Some jurisdictions have laws forbidding the eye wearing eye alternative devices while driving.
(Making it safer is against the law)
