Cool but broken! Can you ID this?

It's clearly broken. Not sure if this is a base to a point or a blade fragment. The flaking almost makes this look slate but suspect it's low grade chert. Any opinions? From nw Indiana.

I dont find many that are broken in a jagged manner most are snapped rite in half just like that one. There just isnt enough to give a good I.D. on it for me. Find the rest then maybe, rock
