Found this today. It's a 1908 liberty dime made into some kind berret (sp?) to afix to the hair. Pretty neat. Someone used a " press" to make it 3 dimensional. Anyone else ever find something like this?

That's awesome....Where did you find it?.....Forget it ,just read pointdlr's thread.Still awesome!!!

LostLake,

Alabama Fred said he wants half that piece for letting us hunt the yard. Just Kidding. Can you take a pic of the back and the whole piece? The indian barely even needed to be washed off.
Regards,
Jon.

That's one of the coolest things I've seen. You must've been dumbfounded pulling that one out of the ground!

Congrats,

Very nice "push out or repouse " also none as "pop out" Barber dime . You don't see many of the silver ones anymore so your find is a good one . However I know they still make these cause here's one I found a few years back . It's a 1983 Lincoln cent . Congrats ..... ;D

Great find. I've seen push-outs made into tie tacks, on rings and on watch bands before but never made for wearing in the hair. Happy Hunting
