This is an odd piece. Let me hear what you guys think about it. Is it a rework, drill, or broken? I'll say what I think after I hear a few thoughts on it.

Great finds, I think the last one wasn't finished being worked.

You found some nice ones! I think the last one is a well used knife that probably broke in the halfting, and was discarded.

I'm going out on a limb and guess that the percussion strick wasnt "right" and wasn't finished. Nice finds BTW.

I agree, last one wasn't finished maybe broken during manufacture. Too bad about that other piece, that would've been really nice. Great finds either way! Fields or BIL?

Nice finds NC.
It reminds me of this point Jonathan found in North Carolina.

Nice finds glad to see your snow lifted enough to hunt ;)!!!

Well the snow did shine them up nicely for you. Good haul!

My question is, could this be a reworked stanly point?

Could they rework a wide stemmed triangle like the broken one I posted, and use it as a corner notch blade? I know it's a long shot, but I couldn't help but notice a resemblance between the stanly stem and the notch on this point.

That's a tough one. I've looked at it a while. My first thought was a Kirk. I have a few that look real close but it the base does have some Stanley look to it and some damage. I'll have to dig them out and take a few pictures to compare.

Awesome finds NC! Looks to me as if that was the finished product but I think only the hands that made it could tell you the truth.(unless he cussed up a storm and threw it at his buddy) I almost want to call them two face points, although I'm sure there is a name for them. Here's one from Texas

JMO it looks almost like a unfinished Dalton

I thought it resembles this style Kirk

I've got several just like your small one NC, they are Kirks, that one just has some damage. We call them side-notch kirk and find them frequently, many with damage just like that.

Nice 2 points in 1 hunt. Wish I was that lucky.

first one like this thru the wear stages?
