Afternoon,

I am posting this photo for a friend who is interested in getting some information on these copper indian arrowheads. I dont have any expertise in Copper Culture artifacts so was hoping someone could shed a little light .

Thanks,

Atlantis

Morning,

Thanks for the info. I believe they are supposed to be from Wisconsin. Were part of an elderly mans estate. Other than that not much was known.

The Wisconsin man is a Korean War POW and is at least in his 70s.
These points belonged to his father and he inherited them. He sent
me the xerox copy and asked me to help him learn the data and
hopefully a value before he decides what to do with them. I have
known him for over ten years and he is not an arrowhead collector or
even a treasure hunter. He has no records of where they were found
because there were no written records kept. He suspected that they
came from somewhere in Wisconsin because his father seldom
traveled out of state. He also said that his father had never displayed
them and he didn't know that they existed until he found them while
he was getting the estate items ready for auction. They were in with
the stone points that his father had picked up over the years. None of
those were displayed either. Since he didn't ask about the stone points
I assume that he either wants to keep them or sold them to people in
his area. All of the stone and copper were in cigar boxes. I doubt that any
will ever be put on ebay as he has no more ability to post photos than
I do. My original post on this topic was months ago in fur traders section
and although I appealed to have someone post the xerox for me no one
volunteered. I'm very grateful to Atlantis for taking the time to do it for
me and my old friend. I have not been told how many he has but asked
him to make a xerox of each type if he expected to learn anything. That's
all that I can add to the subject. Thanks to all who help. siegfried schlagrule

don't know what they would be worth, but its a nice set, i wouldn't sell, i think the copper culture is totally intriguing, and wish more was known about them, personally i believe they were dealing with cultures from over seas. generally known to span fron 2000 to 7000 years ago. i think the Menominee Indians are there decedents, because of the early missionary reports of their lighter skins and features differing from other bands they encountered and possible interaction of other cultures. just a piece of my mind and could be way off base

I am negotiating a swap for the set pictured here. He
has other similar ones he wants to dispose of maybe
if he likes what i find out for him. siegfried schlagrule
