Copper cents question.

Honestly, I don't know why the mint doesn't start making 5¢ pieces out of zinc, or stainless, or anything cheaper then copper-nickel.

I'd guess because then money would be REALLY worthless! Would you want a plastic quarter or a metal one?

copper penny weighs 3.11 grams, i think about 145 or so would equal a
pound so if you could scrap them youd make a decent profit from them.
