✅ SOLVED Copper Coin, Toast, my head is spinning trying to ID.

Recovered fully encrusted in thick green oxide. harsh cleaning.
Standing figure, can't tell which way he stands.
Large exuerge on reverse, seems a small seated Brittania lower left.
Closest I come is NY issue. any help appreciated, almost 28mm. Thanks, Herbie

Hi there I think that is a 1852 Canada Quebec Bank Token Halfpenny-

Coins and Canada - 1/2 penny 1852 - Banks tokens

I'm inclined to agree with Bramblefind - good ID! Don't know anything about Canadian coinage, but from what I can see, the reverse does not seem to have any detail of the symmetrical figures nor the shield between them on the NY penny. The reverse detail seems to be limited to the left above the exergue, which matches the Canadian halfpenny.

(so would several others out there )

I was thinking 18th C because I found 3 GIIs, (2 of which were CFTs) on the site, BUT, there was also an 1858 Canada Cent. I'd certainly rather have accepted the token back then, it is about twice the weight of the Cent.
