Fiqured Id putz around in the driveway today and came up with a copper disc about the size of a quarter, engraved wih the motto Try Square. Its about the size of a Quarter and very thin stamped copper. Tried to get a picture but the engraving wont stand out enough to be visible. It was about 4" down and rang up as penny or dime on the M6.
Any ideas as to what it might be?

A try square is a tool. Perhaps you've found some type of tool tag with the tool description on it. Hard to tell without a picture.

I have never heard of a "Try" square. However a "Tri" sqaure is used to measure and cut rafters among other things.

A tri/try-square is part of Masonic symbology. It could be Masonic in nature....

Thanks for the replies Folks. It does look like a inlay medallion for a tool, now that you mention it! It didnt ring a bell being spelled Try, but that seems to be what it is.
