Maybe, but, it sure would be a big heavy one. Found inland on a horse ranch, no where near the coast.

My first thought was part of a ramrod guide from a musket, but I'm also thinking it's too thick and heavy for a fishing line guide? :icon_scratch:

Looks like a line guide on a fishing pole, but, it would be one heavy deep sea pole with guides like that! :laughing7::icon_thumleft:

My interpretation isn’t ramrod, the flare on each end, to me, says something was meant to pass through in both directions, fishing line was a good thought If it really is too heavy for that maybe rope or something was meant to pass through it, or if it attached to something that slid back and forth on a rope
