I have no idea what this is. It is copper. The holes seem to be punched, not drilled. Approx 2” x 2.5”. There is no marking at writing on it. (Unfortunately). Could just be from an old tool , like a plaque or shield? Or(hopefully) Naitive American made?? Please let me know if this has any real history or just Early 20th century toolGak. Thank you!
 

it would be my guess by the rough shape and misspaced holes that it was a patch someone made t repair a hole in something. In the old days, patching was part of everyday life. now people just throw things in the trash and buy a new one.
