Copper jewelry!?!?

I have not a clue on this one, found at a cabin site dating back to 1800.
An inch wide and several inches long copper ornate even the chain rings are ornate

My first thought is maybe part of a Chatelaine - it appears so delicate.

Can you take a pix of the back side? Does the larger piece look like it may have had a pin back on it?? If so, then it is likely a ornate ladies watch fob... the larger part would be pinned to a blouse with the watch hanging below... just a guess

the back is hollow it was stamped from a mold would be the best way to describe it

I think what you have there is a piece of a chain link belt. Here is an example of one on Etsy. Yours is more ornate and probably older but they come in lots of styles.
