copper or copper plated ???

I recently got several kitchen wall hangings that "appear" to be copper. They are copper on the outside and look like aluminum on the inside. Is there anyway to tell if tehy are solid copper or just plated Thanks

I see them quite a bit, most likely plate. Small surface scratch or if you don't care hit them on a wheel (grinding). I usually throw them in my Alum. pile.
