Copper piece with design on it?

Found this yesterday, way down deep..
I threw it in some water over night.
Just taken it out and hit it with a toothpick and saw the design on it. Anybody have any ideas? It was found at a really old 1740s site where i found the Connecticut copper yesterday..
Any help would be great..Im curious.
