we detected a spot on a mud Beach where a creek entered the ocean. we started to find thin pieces of copper, it was spread over a area about 10 feet long, the layer was black and looks like it was a fire. there was a piece of porcelain and a buckle. i would say likely came from boat. the copper has a thick edge and looks like some kind of plaque. who knows ,to bad it got burnt. ???
