Covered over six miles of trails yesterday looking for picnic spots along a local brook, nothing to show for it for four hours (except maybe a little improved cardio). On my way back to the car noticed a line of old oaks atop a ridge, so figured why not. Bingo!

The first two coppers are King George’s, one has a good date 1739, the other I can’t tell. The third is toast, can’t make out any details. I was hoping there might be a piece of silver nearby and sure enough I found a 1 reale after about another half hour. The kicker was the gold ring, unexpected and almost passed it up. Inscription reads “Paris February 1st 1919”
