Today I was detecting at an old home in the middle of the woods in Kershaw S.C. and found an old copper spoon. It is large like a tablespoon or bigger, to bad the handle is broken off. Could it being made of copper help with i.d. or age?
I kinda' forget the steps in elctroplating, but I think copper might be what would make nickel or silver stick better. What I'm getting at is that it may well have had a layer that has worn off. But a picture or marks would help. -Ben
