Another odd find at the old homestead - went out with my girls metal detecting and one of them dug this. It looks like it is all copper - reminds me of a steam let off for a boiler but I really don't have any idea. The folded accordian part is about 5 1/2" long and 2" diameter. Seems like there is a part inside that goes up and down - some kind of lever arm on the top. It's a head scratcher - any ideas?
