We did 3 hours in the morning on Copse Field. A small game strip/bird cover about 1/2 acre had been cut down flat. (the corn that is)
We have hammered this spot over the years so we were somewhat surprised to get another 15 scrappies & a debased Silver of Solonia. Plus a bit of a Roman Bracelet & 3 Roman Hob-Nails. (Showing how careful we are to clear it all)
The after lunch we tried a long shot target on an ankle breaker. It looked like it might be 2 pits on the aerial but no signs of cropmarks. Turned out to be nothing but we did manage 1 more scrappy from the nearby Iron Age/Roman Site. An area that has only produced 1 coin because it has been previously detected by others.
Plus a broken 17th C Spur Buckle & a broken Tudor Clothes Hasp.
For our current situation I'm pretty pleased overall with this day.
