Just about dry enough to continue the grid on this Celtic/Roman Site.
We had our best day this year & my mate had his best ever day: 14 Roman Bronze Coins, x3 1st C AD Brooches, & his best ever Roman silver (The one on the left, mine is the heavily plated right one)
I don't normally add his finds, but I needed to bring it home & get a full ID for him & it's too good not to share!

I had 8 Roman Bronze Coins

Roman Hob-Nail
Roman silver washed Bracelet frag (one of the nicest I've seen)
1st C BC - 1st C AD Celtic La Tene Fibula (Brooch)
Roman Silver Denarius: Caracalla Denarius. 201 AD. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, laureate draped bust right / RECTOR ORBIS, Caracalla standing facing, naked, head left, holding globe and spear.(RIC 39a, Sear 6880)

My Mates Silver Siliqua: Julian II, AR Siliqua, Arles. 355-360 AD. Arles mint. DN FL CL IVLI-ANVS PF AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and bearded bust right / VOT X MVLT XX within laurel wreath, eagle in badge at top of wreath. Mintmark TCONST. RIC VIII Arles 309; RSC 148+e; cf Sear 4070.

Its a very crude Radiate Head like Tetricus I but its a barbarous imitation. The reverse is meant to be sacrificial implements. What is very odd is it has a silver wash.

Yes, maybe a Tetricus II, AE antoninianus.
I believe the wine jug (oinochoe) appeared more often on Tet II vs Tet I.

Both 4 & 5 are Victory Advancing Left types.
