Hammerstone's from Keokuk chert Nodules...............
So they are what would serve as Core's for Chert reduction................
but they had a one time use only as a Hammerstone

They did not swing these Tools hard like a handle hammer.....but would gently peck,and hammer with out hurting the wrist-And I would assume trade on and off of using them!
I dont know the time period on either one..........most times a person in the Ozarks will find small baseball size Hammerstones from being used up

My only Bipolar Flake............from a Nodule
It was core split from Bipolar reduction ...............my only true Bipolar artifact in its self nothing but the fact of being Bipolar Reduction Flake makes it special..............no wear use......

What makes it special is the Blade I found nearby-knapped from same chert
