Cottonwood pass

I'm sure some are comin' for the dope but that crowd, as a whole, usually doesn't have a positive impact on local economies. They leave more in the woods that footprints. :)
 
You're right on that PB. Most people leave the area fine. However, I got two boxes of those black trash bags in the truck too. They packed it in, and I pack it out. My kids used to b*tch and moan cause I would always have them police the area when we left a camp site. 'That's not our trash!'. They do it on their own these days.
 
I've gone so far as taking a rake camping with me to make cleaning up other people's trash a little easier. How people can want to enjoy nature and the beauty of it and then trash it like they do is beyond me. They should just stay home.
When possible now we try to revolve our trips around the use of boats. Seems we can get out to where a lot fewer folks get to so there is a lot less trash or none at all, especially at the coast. There are exceptions but boats can get you to nicer spots.
