Looks pretty ornate. Has that dark red patina. I think it could be a bracelet.

They were 100% Copper if I Remember Correctly.
There was a Scam going on back then that suggested wearing Copper Bracelets was Good good for your Health

Yes, it's a bracelet. I have also found one, except it's considerably wider than the one you found. They are made of Copper as the others have said.
