Coin ID please

Found at an old homestead in Ohio. Just can’t seem to get enough detail to find out what it is.

Maybe our Canadian friends will chime in, but it looks like a Canadian one penny or half penny bank token to me. I have found both before, and that classic "x" design in the center is typical of that coin.

I can’t tell it’s size but, I’m guessing it may be a hard times token.
